What a peculiar day. No fundraiser. No time with family and friends. Just my University placement.
If you’d have said 3 years ago that I’d be at university today, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. Following on from the amazing treatment that I received, I decided to study occupational therapy to give back some of what I was given. So, I’m now in my 3rd year of university, having arrived here for my interview still in my neckbrace and having had further operations last summer.
The first and second anniversaries of ‘survival day’ I’ve held a fundraiser for the Midlands Air Ambulance and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, with some much needed help from family and friends. This year wasn’t the same but I’m almost at the end of my final placement and that is blooming important.
A huge thank-you to my awesome family and friends for all of your help for the last 2 fundraisers,I couldn’t have done it without you!
